We feel proud of our work when we hear stories like Moira's and Rosetta's.
In 2017, directors Ruthy, Emma, alongside two other founding partners, recognised a need for different type of NDIS service provider. One that didn’t just connect people to services, but became part of each person’s family. From this, Friendly & Graceful Care Services (FGCS), was born.
FGCS is a registered NDIS provider that goes beyond care. We are honoured to play a part in the quality of our clients’ lives, and create solutions that are tailored to each individual’s requirements, interests and the things they want for their life.
With a focus on excellence, transparency and choice, we connect our clients with the service providers and support workers best suited to their individual needs to ensure quality outcomes.
Moira and her son
Moira's son was living in supported independent living (SIL) in a house with no house leader. This meant the place was disorganised and often filthy, and there was no accountability for the quality of care given. Moira felt that the provider was more focused on NDIS funding than they were on her son.
When Moira met Ruthy, who told her about FGCS's person-centred approach, she felt reassured that her son's day-to-day carers would also reflect Ruthy's leadership and values.
She moved her son and his flatmate to a new house with FGCS's help, where the house was clean with a big enough lounge room for easy movement and kept free of tripping hazards. But that's not the most important thing. Moira's son now has outings four days a week, including one community day per week. He's looking healthier, and Moira has peace of mind knowing his needs are coming first.
Rosetta and Angelo
Rosetta's son Angelo has high needs and requires a rotating team of support workers to care for him. Rosetta says the house is always clean, the washing done, and the food is all up to standard.
"We know there is always someone there to help. It's a relief for us to know there is always someone there for him."
